A NRI family man Paramvir Singh(Sunny Deol) lives happily with his Canadian wife Mary(Brown) along with his two kids and his mother(Nafisa)in Vancouver, Canada. Mother misses Paramvir's father, Dharam (Dharmendra), and his younger brother Gajodhar(Bobby Deol)who had left them when Paramvir was small, since Paramvir's father wanted to lead a criminal lifestyle. Once when his wife's sister and husband comes to visit them, his sister's husband who is Canadian, sees a picture of Dharam in their house. When Paramvir says that the portrait is of his dad, the guy replies that when he had gone to Varanasi in India, this guy had cheated him. Subsequently, Paramvir's mother says that she want to see his younger brother, so Paramvir promises his mother that he will bring back his father and the son.
When Paramvir reaches Varanasi, he meets his brother outside the Money Exchange office. Gajodhar(Bobby) says that he may help to exchange the money. So by this he fools him, take his $2000 dollar and gives him a bundle of blank papers, with a 1000 rupees note on both sides of the paper bundle. But when he asks Gajodhar about Dharam's address, he replies that the picture is not of Dharam, but of a Bollywood Actor Dharmendra and runs away. After finding out that all the notes are fake, Paramvir tracks Gajodhar in a bar where he also meets his dad, Dharam, who refuses to acknowledge him as his son. After this Gajodher comes there, and the Jeweler(Johnny Lever) also comes there with a bunch of gangsters to get his jewelry back cause they had fooled him and stole his jewelry. And when they try to attack them both, Paramvir replied that they are his father and son, and fights with them to protect his brother and father. After the fight Paramvir also starts working with them and Gajodher falls into love with the Sahiban(Randhawa) a girl from Punjab. She was there for writing a book. But when Sahiban brothers come there, they beat up Gajodher and take Sahiban with them to Punjab. After all this Gajodher goes sad and feels that his love is over. When Dharam saw that Gajodher is sad, he asks Paramvir to help, and acknowledges that he is his father but he shouldn't tell Gajodher about that, after which Paramvir and Gajodher moved to the Punjab to get back his love.
Sahiban's Elder brother Joginder Singh (Kher) wants to marry his sister to an NRI, and his other brothers also want to do that. When they came to know that an NRI boy is coming they called him. Actually these two NRI boys are Paramvir and Gajodher. Joginder says that they want to marry their sister to Paramvir, not to Gajodher. From here the all mess starts. After this Paramvir tries many ideas to get rejected by them, so that Sahiban should get married to Gajodher. Gajodher tries to run with Sahiban, many times, but always gets into a serious problem and all the plans get failed. Then Dharam comes from Varanasi to Punjab and starts staying with them. Unfortunately Parmavir's wife finds out that he is going to marry, so Mary reaches Punjab with his kids. Joginder Singh is candidate for the election and his Minty(Punnet Issar) starts playing games with them. One day Gajodher learns Paramvir and his kids are his nephews and Paramvir is his brother. Then they all plan to run away but Sahiban's brothers find out that they ran. At the end they reach an old Storage Place and there all the mess between the Sahiban's Brother's goes on. Then Minty comes and at the end the Gajodher saved the life of Joginder from Minty and Minty apologizes for that and Joginder allows Sahiban to marry Gajodher. Finally, Paramvir completes his mother's promise and takes back his family to Canada.
